Body of woman recovered from Schuylkill River after crash

NORRISTOWN Crews have recovered the body of a woman who was thrown into the Schuylkill River during a motorcycle crash near Philadelphia.

The accident happened around 9 p.m. Tuesday on the Dannehower Bridge on U.S. Route 202 in Norristown.

Dive teams pulled the woman’s from the water around 2 a.m. today.

The man who was driving the motorcycle was airlifted to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He had been thrown to the road. His condition is not available.

The names of the victims have not been released.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, but WCAU-TV reports that witnesses told police they saw two motorcycles racing and one left after the accident.
