Police review video in luring attempt

SHARPSBURG — Police are reviewing surveillance video that shows a white van which may have been involved in a luring attempt involving a 10-year-old girl who was headed to a school bus near Pittsburgh.

Sharpsburg police say the girl told them a man in a white van stopped and said, “Come here, I have a present for you.”

The girl got on her school bus and reported the incident when she arrived at Kerr Elementary School on Monday morning. Sharpsburg is just a few of miles east of Pittsburgh.

Police say the suspect is an older white man with gray hair.

Police say the video shows the bus near the stop in question. A white van makes a right turn, while another white van arrives from behind.
