Westmoreland County man charged with threatening trooper – again

DELMONT — A Westmoreland County man already awaiting trial on charges that he threatened a state trooper on Facebook has now been jailed on charges he again threatened the trooper in a phone call to a friend.

Twenty-nine-year-old Andrew Fulton, of Delmont, is accused of leaving a voice mail for that woman March 5, in which he asks for her help in hurting Trooper David Williams. She forwarded the message to authorities.

Fulton earlier this year waived his right to a hearing on charges that he posted a Facebook message saying he wanted to kill the trooper for arresting him on drug charges last year.

Fulton’s Westmoreland County public defender couldn’t be reached for comment Friday.

Fulton remained jailed Friday unable to post $100,000 bond on new charges including witness retaliation, criminal solicitation and harassment by communication.
