Four charged in killing of central Pa. store clerk

MECHANICSBURG — Four suspects ages 17 through 20 are facing charges in the fatal shooting of a central Pennsylvania convenience store clerk.

Police in Cumberland County say the suspects planned to rob the store but left empty handed after killing 55-year-old Linda Ness at a Spring Township gas station on Sunday night.

Investigators say 19-year-old Tyler Bradshaw confessed to being the shooter. Court records don’t list an attorney for him.

A customer later found the victim’s body behind the counter. District Attorney David Freed called it “a brazen, brutal crime.”

All four suspects are charged with criminal homicide, robbery and related charges. They were arraigned Tuesday morning and ordered held without bail.
