Rebecca Cherney, Joseph Randazzo
Rebecca Lynn Cherney and Joseph James Randazzo were married Feb. 2, 2008, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Altoona.
Monsignor Stanley B. Carson performed the double-ring ceremony and celebrated a Nuptial High Mass.
Pastor Donald E. Peters gave the homily.
The bride is the daughter of Steven and Isabelle Cherney of Johnstown.
The groom is the son of Domenica and Rosario Randazzo of Altoona.
Presented in marriage by her parents, the bride was attended by her niece, Amanda Salat, as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were S. Beth Newill, Jill Vuckovich and Alexia Motley.
Guiseppe Randazzo was his cousin’s best man.
Groomsmen were Marco and Paul Randazzo, cousins of the groom, and Stephen Salat, nephew of the bride.
Lilly Moffat, great-niece of the bride, was the flower girl, accompanied by Katie Micik, niece of the bride.
Brady Charles Snyder, nephew of the bride, was the ringbearer.
Emily Peters played the flute.
A reception was held at The Imperial Room, New Germany Road, Ebensburg.
The bride is a 1987 graduate of Greater Johnstown Area Vocational-Technical School and a 2006 graduate of
Framingham (Mass.) State College.
She is attending Davenport University, Grand Rapids, Mich., where she is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration.
She is employed by CitiFinancial in Baltimore, Md., as a senior accountant.
The groom is a 1986 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1990 graduate of St. Francis University, Loretto, where he earned a master’s degree in human resources in 2007.
He is employed by Coverall Cleaning Concepts, Columbia, Md., as a field-service manager.
The newlyweds reside in Sykesville, Md.
