Cassandra George and Jason Layman were married Sept. 8, 2012, at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, Johnstown.
Monsignor Michael Becker performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Galen and Lorraine George of Mount Hope, Pa.
The groom is the son of David and Denise Layman of Johnstown.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Carissa George as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Katie Luchini, Megan Frazer, Tawnya Eash, Lauren Rose and Danielle Layman.
Dave Layman was the best man.
Groomsmen were Tim Freshour, Aaron Emhoff, Scott George, Gregg Schnur and Nate Adams.
Mackenzie Layman was the flower girl.
A reception was held at the Living Learning Center on Pitt-Johnstown’s campus.
The bride and groom plan to honeymoon in Punta Cana.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Forest Hills High School, Sidman, and a graduate of Penn State, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
She earned a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
She is a Speech-Language Pathologist employed by Forest Hills School District.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Richland High School and a graduate of Pitt-Johnstown, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology.
He is a Civil Engineer Project Manager at Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
The newlyweds reside in Mount Hope.
