Karen Ann Freidhoff and Matthew Edward Shaffer were married Oct. 15, 2011, at Faith Chapel, Johnstown.
Pastor Michael Walker of Bowmansdale Church of God, Cumberland County, performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kurt and Kathy Freidhoff of Johnstown.
The groom is the son of Ed and Ronnie Shaffer of Dillsburg, York County.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sisters, Jill
Ling as matron of honor and Jayann Freidhoff as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kelley Bowersox, sister of the groom, and Kristen Dayton, cousin of the bride.
Marc Giannone was the best man.
Groomsmen were Nick Freidhoff, brother of the bride; Randall Hughes; and Joe Fang.
Madalynn Stiffler was the flower girl.
Nathaniel Ling, nephew of bride, was the ringbearer.
A reception was held at Ace’s Lounge, Johnstown.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Messiah College and a 2009 graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
She is a graphic designer at the law firm of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP, Washington, D.C.
The groom is a 2008 graduate of Messiah College.
He is completing his graduate degree in School Counseling at Messiah College.
The newlyweds reside in Annapolis, Md.
