Chelsi Genday, Timothy McIlwain


Chelsi Lynn Genday and Timothy Douglas McIlwain were married May 29, 2010, at Our Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, Johnstown.

Deacon Scott Q. Little performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Patty Genday of Johnstown.

The groom is the son of Douglas and Sally McIlwain of Johnstown.

Presented in marriage by her parents, the bride was attended by her sister, Christie Genday as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Shannon and Brittany Genday, sisters of the bride, and Kara Bilger and Jennifer Wolf, friends of the bride.

Patrick and Toby McIlwain, brothers of the groom, were the best men.

Ushers were Craig Beil, Anthony Argirakis and Thomas Polenik, friends of the groom.

Flower girls were Morgan Reese and Madison Hofecker.

The ringbearer was Kyler Reese.

Kourtnie McQuillen was the soloist.

The organist was John Respher.

A reception was held at Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort and Conference Center in Blairsville.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she received a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

She is a captain in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps currently assigned to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C.

She plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh’s graduate program for nurse anesthesia in 2011.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School, Davidsville, and a 2006 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

He is employed by McIlwain School Bus Lines Inc. in Johnstown. He is a first lieutenant in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard assigned as an attack Army aviator.

The newlyweds reside in Johnstown.
