Country sisters

“Sister Mary Amnesia’s Country Western Nunsense Jamboree” will be presented through Oct. 14 at Mountain Playhouse, Jennerstown.

Curtain times are 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and 3 p.m. Sundays.

Ticket prices range from $17 to $39.

Family fun

Cresson Area Heritage Days will be held today through Sunday along Front Street.

There will be food and craft vendors, live music and a children’s carnival Saturday and Sunday and a car show Sunday.

Fall fest

The second annual Windber Oktoberfest will be held from noon to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at Windber Recreation Park,  Route 160, Windber.

Proceeds benefit Windber Volunteer Fire Company and Windber Area Municipal Authority.

Autumn treat

The 48th annual Bedford Fall Foliage Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and Oct. 13-14 in downtown Bedford.

There will food and craft vendors, live music and children’s activities.

An antique car parade will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 13.

Parking is available for $7 at Old Bedford Village and Bedford County Fairgrounds, and free shuttles are available.

Art drawing

“Fortune Smiles on You, Tombola 2012” will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at Art Works in Johnstown! 413 Third Ave. in Cambria City.

The cost of the fundraiser is $80 a person or $150 a couple.

Gripping play

A production of John Patrick Shanley’s play, “Doubt,” will be presented at 7:30 tonight and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the George and Eileen Katter Theater at Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center, 411 Third Ave. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.

Tickets are $10.

Keeping the beat

Nickelodeon’s The Fresh Beat Band will perform at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Cambria County War Memorial Arena, 326 Napoleon St., downtown Johnstown.

Hockey tournament

The first Columbus Day Disabled Sled Hockey Challenge will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. to noon Sunday at Planet Ice, 195 Jari Drive, Richland Township.

The tournament is hosted by Sitting Bulls Sled Hockey.

Disabled sled hockey enables physically challenged youth to play competitive hockey following all the rules of USA Hockey.  

The tournament is for beginner and junior-level players.

Admission is free.

The 13th annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk will be held Saturday on the campus of Pitt-Johnstown, Richland Township.

Registration begins at 5 p.m., with the walk at 7.
