Scrooge’s story

“A Christmas Carol” will be presented by Nebraska Theatre Caravan at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center, Richland Township.

Celebrating Christ

The 30th Festival of the Nativity will be held from 6 to 9 tonight and Saturday and 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 309 Lincoln St., downtown Johnstown.

Tonight’s musical lineup will feature First Presbyterian bell choir, 6 p.m.; Beulah Glory Ringers Quartet, 6:20; organist Richard Kimmel, 6:40; Bedford Community Singers, 7; Bo Moore, 7:30; and  St. Benedict choir, 8.

Saturday’s music will include Michael Facciani, 6 p.m.; Reed Band, 6:30; The Joyful Notes, 7:30; and St. Andrew choir, 8:30.

Music on Sunday will feature a youth recital, 1 p.m.; Polish Heritage Choir, 6; Westmont Presbyterian choir, 6:30; St. Matthew’s Anglican Church choir, 6:45; Forest Hills chorus, 7; St. Clement choir, 7:15; Bishop McCort ensemble, 7:30; First Presbyterian choir, 7:45; and combined choirs, 8.

Christmas ballet

“The Nutcracker” will be presented by Johnstown Concert Ballet at 7:30 tonight and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center, Richland Township.

Tickets are $12.

Victorian Christmas

The eighth annual Dickens of a Christmas will be held today through Sunday throughout downtown Ebensburg.

The Victorian-style celebration will feature a light-up ceremony tonight, parade at 11 a.m. Saturday, concerts, craft shows, ice sculptures, sleigh and carriage rides and children’s activities.

“A Cresson Lake Christmas” will be presented at 7:30 tonight and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cambria County Courthouse, 200 S. Center St., Ebensburg.

Tickets are $17 for adults and $10 for students younger than 18.

Christmas treats

The Wintergarden celebration at the Grand Halle, 306 Broad St. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown, will feature several events.

The Giving Gallery, which features a group of nonprofit organizations and vendors selling a variety of handmade items, will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Admission is $5 at the door.

A Songworks acoustic dinner holiday program held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday will feature Walt Churchey and Jackie Kopko.

Admission is $12 at the door, and no reservations are necessary.

The public is invited to view displays of Christmas trees, gingerbread houses and vintage Christmas toys from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Admission is $5 for adults for this fundraiser for the Steeples Project.

The celebration ends Dec. 15.

Welcome, Christmas

The third annual Christmas Over the City will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Inclined Plane, Johnstown.

There will be free pictures with Santas and free treats, gifts and games.

Children can ride free with a paying adult.
