Traveling preacher's alleged victim testifies in graphic detail this morning in Bedford County court

BEDFORD — In sexually graphic testimony this morning, the alleged victim of a North Carolina travelling preacher spelled out the events of an encounter at a Bedford Township hotel in April 2009.

Wearing a dark colored, homemade dress that reached the floor, her blond hair pulled back in a tight bun, the girl, now 15, told of how her mother took her to the Janey Lynn Hotel to spend the night with the Rev. Walter Bradshaw.

The Alum Bank girl who was 11 at the time of the alleged assault, related that Bradshaw, took off his clothes as soon as they got to the motel. He then undressed her and attempted to penetrate her orally, vaginally and anally.

“I just kept moving and he got frustrated with me,” the girl said in tearful testimony.

“Bradshaw, 63, of Lexington, N.C., is on trial for multiple counts of sexual assault on the girl which alleged occurred while he stopped in Bedford on the way to revival services in Erie.

At noon the girl was still on the stand being cross examined by defense attorney Thomas Crawford of Pittsburgh.
