Persons of interest sought in bomb threat

Cambria County Courthouse reopens

EBENSBURG — Cambria County Courthouse reopened about 12:20 p.m. after being closed all morning in the wake of a bomb threat.

Bomb-sniffing dogs from Richland Township and the Blair County Sheriff’s Department were taken through ever room on every level of the massive structure and no evidence of a bomb was detected, officials said.

All court hearings set for this morning are now getting under way and the courthouse will remain open until things are completed, Cambria Commissioner Douglas Lengenfelder said.

Two persons of interest have been identified as persons of interest on the sheriff’s department Facebook page. They are a man and woman with no identities available.

Anyone with information on the identities of the individuals is asked to contact police at 1-800-281-1680.
