Emergency crews evacuate flooded Bolivar residents by boat

BOLIVAR — Families in Fairfield Township, Westmoreland County were evacuated Friday due to flooding, authorities said.

Westmoreland County public safety officials said five families were evacuated from the Creek Road area and are being sheltered by the Bolivar Fire Company.

The evacuation took place at 2:36 p.m.

Flooding also affected Midget Camp Road and Riverview Road areas.

A fire official was not available to comment.
