High School Boys

Berlin 81, Turkeyfoot Valley 39

BERLIN – High-powered Berlin Brothersvalley led 51-18 at halftime a cruised to a WestPAC-South win over Turkeyfoot Valley.

The Mountaineers’ Zac Cooney led the way with 13 points while Luke Bonus scored 12 points; Steve Lotinsky, 11, and Jake Snyder, 10.

The Rams’ Austin Orndorff tallied a game-high 21 points with Brandon McClintock scoring 10.

Blacklick Valley 68, Windber 56

NANTY GLO – The Vikings’ Dalton Cesarz scored 24 points with Johnny Sheesley pouring in 23 as Blacklick Valley held back Windber. Justin Paul’s 14 points also helped to float the Vikings to victory.

Windber’s Matt Barclay scored 17 points with fellow Ramblers Tyler Zubrucky adding 16 and Dan Tomlinson pitching in 13.

Bishop McCort 64 Cambria Heights 57 Nemo Trexler had 17 points, Jordan Spangler and Billy Hipp added 12 each and Bishop McCort defeated visiting Cambria Heights.

Isaac Vescovi’s game-high 33 points led the Highlanders.

Conemaugh Valley 52, Portage 30

Nick Roberts’ double-double effort of 12 points and 12 rebounds helped the Blue Jays hammer Portage in a WestPAC clash.

Blake Furman’s 20 points led the scoring for Conemaugh Valley, which kept the Mustangs in single-digit scoring through all four quarters.

Michael Bryja scored a dozen for Portage.

Johnstown 66, Central Cambria 40

Philip Madison scored 20 points and had five assists, and Shaquan Reid had 14 points as Johnstown beat visiting Central Cambria.

Damean Barfield added 10 points. Roshon Fields had eight points and eight rebounds, and Daniel Barfield had eight assists for the Trojans.

Scott Holsinger led Central Cambria with 11 points.

Shade 69, Salisbury-Elk Lick 24

CAIRNBROOK – Nash Walker had 15 points and four assists, Matt Holland had 16 rebounds, and Brock Medva had 14 points as Shade beat visiting Salisbury-Elk Lick.

Jeremy Pyles added 12 points and C.J. Spangler added 10 rebounds for the 4-0 Panthers.

Bishop Carroll 74, Westmont Hilltop 42

Brandon Martinazzi scored 16 points, Scott Ranck had 14,  and Marcus Lee added 13 as visiting Bishop Carroll defeated Westmont Hilltop.

Nik Suckinos had 12 points for Carroll. Luke Kleinmeyer and Mike Vliet each had 11 points for the Hilltoppers.
