Penelec union families illustrate lockout's affect

ALTOONA — About 150 locked-out Penelec workers and family members spent more than an hour today demonstrating along busy West Plank Road near the company’s Altoona headquarters.

“It was just Family Day,” Dave Bilek of Hollidaysburg said at the main entrance. “All of the families affected by this lockout came out to show their solidarily and support.”

The group waved signs and cheered to acknowledge drivers passing who honked horns in support of the members of Utility Workers Union of America Branch 180.
