Wheels & Wings announces food, vehicle contest winners

— Winners at the 10th annual Wheels & Wings Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show and wing-off held in downtown Ebensburg have been announced.

Pizza Hut/Wing Street of Ebensburg won the best wings category. The Castle Pub of Ebensburg was the runner-up, and the Spirit Award went to Central Cambria Midget Football League of Ebensburg.

In vehicle competitions, best of show awards went to Francis Holtz of Ebensburg for his 1932 Chevrolet, Len Zeman of Ebensburg for his 1966 Chevrolet truck and Rick Marshall of Loretto for his 2004 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle.

Class awards were as follows:


Pre-1950s: Leo Miller of Hastings for his 1938 Ford rod, Phil Callahan of Patton for his 1940 Chevrolet and John Rizzo Sr. of Heilwood for his 1949 Nash.

1950s: Bob Kushner of Johns­town for his 1957 Chevrolet coupe, Geoff McCall of Summerhill for his 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air and Ray Wotkowski of Sidman for his 1950 Packard.

1960s: Frank Pirone of Homer City for his 1969 Z28, Don Magas of Indiana for his 1966 Corvair Monza and Tom Dodson of Vinco for his 1969 GTO.

1970s: Ray Hill of Colver for his 1971 Mercury Montego, Rod Sheffar of Creekside for his 1977 Trans Am and Steve Kazmer of Nicktown for his 1978 black Thunderbird.

Post-1980s: Vince Little, address not supplied, for his 1987 Grand National, Judith Claar of Claysburg for her 1983 black Hurst Oldsmobile and Bill Link of Ebensburg for his 1989 Corvette.


Sport bike: Bob Patterson of Alexandria, Huntingdon County, for his 2013 Kawasaki ZX14R, Bill Gallagher of Portage for his 2000 FXR4 Low Rider and Mick McConnell of Cresson for his 1971 CB 750 Four.

Cruiser: Tim Davis of Cherry Tree for his 2009 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, Allen Gebhard of Bainbridge for his 2004 Harley-Davidson Deuce and Bob and Carolyn Short of Homer City for their 2008 Honda Gold Wing trike.

Custom: Tom Mishler of Davids­ville for his 2007 Thunder Mountain Custom, Len Chuckaloucak of Summerhill for his 2005 Bourget Black Jack Joker and Steve Chuckaloucak of Summerhill for his 2003 American Iron Horse.


Awards went to Clinton Maurer of Carrolltown for his 1948 Jeep, Andy and Carol Csikas of Windber for their 1958 blue Apache and Jeff and Marian Bender of Ebensburg for their 1958 Dodge Power Wagon.

The 50-50 winner was Butch Casti of Mineral Point.
