Cops: Homeless man stabbed Pa. couple who fed him

MANOR TOWNSHIP — A homeless man has been jailed on charges that he stabbed the western Pennsylvania couple who took him in with a kitchen knife after an argument about dirty dishes.

The (Kittanning) Leader-Times reports 45-year-old James Dean Flick was charged late Monday by state police with aggravated assault and other crimes for stabbing 48-year-old Robert McClure in the upper arm, and cutting the hand of McClure’s girlfriend, 46-year-old Loriann Neal, when she tried to intervene.

Troopers say the Manor Township couple had given Flick a place to stay. Trooper Stephen Rowe’s criminal complaint says Flick first punched McClure with his fist, then swung a steak knife, causing a 6-inch gash into McClure’s arm as the argument escalated.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Flick who remained jailed on Thursday awaiting a preliminary hearing Dec. 17.
