Worker injured at wind turbine site

WELLERSBURG — A contractor at a western Pennsylvania wind farm was injured when a large piece of steel fell on him.

The Daily American of Somerset reports that a stack of steel pieces fell over and hit the man.

Assistant Wellersburg fire chief Chase Troutman says the unidentified man suffered trauma to the face and chest, and was taken to a hospital in Cumberland, Md. Further details weren't immediately available.

The Twin Ridges wind farm is located about 95 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
